Back pain care in Oak Hill and Dripping Springs

Do you have back pain?

If you are living with back pain, and the short-term fixes are lasting less and less time, start with the structure. Pain here runs from nagging to severe. It can be new, or it can have been around long enough that walks and work are the hard part.

Precision Chiropractic ATX sees people from Oak Hill, Dripping Springs, Driftwood, Lakeway, Wimberley, and Austin. Dr. Eberle is a CBP-Trained Doctor of Chiropractic. Care looks at structure and function together.

What we look at

The back is more than one thing

The back takes in tendons, ligaments, discs, muscles, and bones. Without a look at those parts, it is hard to say where the pain is coming from. This is a guide to the issues we see most often. A visit is how we tell which one is yours.

Disc bulges and herniations

The discs sit between the vertebrae. When the outer edge is damaged, the center can bulge or push out. That is common, and it is not always painful. When a damaged disc irritates a nerve, people often feel shooting or stabbing pain, sometimes with weakness in the legs. The first job is to see how far it has gone, so care does not make it worse.

Misalignment

A vertebral misalignment, sometimes called a subluxation, can come from physical stress or an injury. It is often painful, and it can get in the way of normal movement. It is also easy to miss. Chiropractic care is built to find it and correct it without surgery.

Sprains and strains

Strains and sprains usually show up when the work is new to the body, or after an accident. Lifting while twisting, or stretching past a limit, is a common way the back gets hurt. Swelling and bruising often come with it. These injuries tend to change how the spine lines up, and they are a reason people come in.

Stress

Ongoing stress tightens muscle and can settle into spots that stay sore. The pain is real even when nobody can point to one injury. Care here works on those tight areas and on the structural pattern that keeps feeding them.

When it is not only the spine

Arthritis and some problems outside the spine, including kidney stones and urinary tract infections, can show up as low back pain. Those need to be sorted out, not guessed at. The exam is how we tell whether chiropractic care is the right next step, and when you need a different doctor.

Measured, then tracked

A thorough exam lets us see what is going on. We take objective measures of structure and function, including on-site X-rays, and we use those measures to track progress. The exam covers a wide set of metrics, so plan 90 to 120 minutes for the initial visit.

Peter Lenhart, Director of Rehab, helps patients improve structure and function with specialized exercises and angular tractions. More on the approach is on the CBP page.

Highly recommend visiting Dr. Eberle and Precision Chiropractic. I was experiencing migraines and chronic lower back pain. I felt significantly better after my first visit and am virtually pain free at this point. Dr. Eberle is obviously knowledgeable and thorough, it was a great experience with great results.Rob
