Pregnancy care in Oak Hill and Dripping Springs

Chiropractic care during pregnancy

Pregnancy changes how the spine carries weight. The low back, the pelvis, and the way you stand all shift as the months go on. That is ordinary, and it is also why a lot of people come in.

Precision Chiropractic ATX sees expecting moms as part of family care, for families in Oak Hill, Dripping Springs, Driftwood, Lakeway, Wimberley, and Austin. Dr. Eberle is a CBP-Trained Doctor of Chiropractic. Care looks at structure and function together, and it starts with an exam.

What we look at

A spine carrying a changing load

Through pregnancy, posture and the low back take on more work. This is a guide to what we see most often. A visit is how we tell what applies to you.

The low back and pelvis

The center of weight moves forward. People often feel that in the low back, the hips, and the way they walk. We look at how the spine is lining up under that load, not only at where it is sore today.

Posture through the months

Standing, sitting, and sleeping all change. A desk, a car seat, and a belly that is still growing pull the same structural patterns we already look at. Posture is part of the exam.

After the baby

The months after birth keep the load on the spine: feeding, lifting, and very little sleep. Family care here includes that stretch of time, not only the pregnancy itself. Care for kids is on the kids page.

When it needs a different doctor

Some findings are not a chiropractic problem. The exam is how we tell whether care here is the right next step, and when you need your obstetrician or a different doctor.

A first visit

An exam before any care

A first visit starts with an exam, so we can see what is going on before any care. We take objective measures of structure and function, and we use on-site X-rays only when they help us see that structure. Adjustments are adapted for pregnancy. Call ahead and we will tell you what to expect.

Peter Lenhart, Director of Rehab, helps patients improve structure and function with specialized exercises and angular tractions. More on the approach is on the CBP page.
